Blaye-Côtes-de-Bordeaux appellation is situated in the northern region of Bordeaux, on the right bank of La Gironde, opposite Medoc appellation.
The appellation now covers 6 500 ha and produces around 310 000 hl per year of both dry red and white wines.
Red wines of this appellation are light, pleasant to drink and blend of three major grapes varieties: Merlot, Cabernet-Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc.
White wines are fruity and very aromatic made with Sauvignon Blanc.
