Lussac-Saint-Emilion

Lussac-Saint-Emilion appellation is situated in the Libournais area, on the most Northern part of Saint-Emilion.

The production is dedicated to red wines with on average 80 000 hl producted each years on 1 500 hectares of vineyard. Merlot is the main grape varietal used, it is blend with Cabernet Franc, Cabernet-Sauvignon and Malbec.

The vines grow on plateaus and small valleys composed of sand and clay limestone. 

Lussac wines offer gourmet and intense aromas. Young they have an accents of licorice, leather, prune and the oldest are velvety and well-structured.
